Case Study 1
Our head vet Heather found her using this service when her own Pug, Cheddar, began showing signs of pain when running & playing with the other dogs. She discovered that Cheddar had a luxating patella (dislocating kneecap) and contacted Hannah at RATA Vets for her advice.
Luckily it had been caught early and Hannah was more than happy to help. She came to the practice to operate on Cheddar to make sure the kneecap stayed in the right place. Since the procedure Cheddar has gone from strength to strength and has done so well Heather & her have begun training in agility.
Case Study 2
Our head nurse George also had to call on Hannah as her French bulldog, Gladys, had begun to show signs of pain after going out for a walk. We couldn’t believe it! Gladys was also diagnosed with a luxating patella and needed surgery to ensure she was no longer in pain.
Unfortunately, the changes to Gladys’ knee were more extreme, and she would need her leg surgically fractured and reset, as well as deepening the groove where her kneecap should sit to stop is dislocating. Thanks to Hannah’s amazing surgical skill, Gladys’ surgery went well, and she can now run around with her friends pain free.
